Liberal Democrat MP for Leeds North West Greg Mulholland has pledged his support the Royal Institute of British Architects’ Build a Better Britain campaign.
The Royal Institute of British Architects, RIBA, is campaigning for better buildings across the UK, in addition to supporting well-planned places and encouraging happy healthy places by thinking about older people’s homes and inspiring people to be more active.
RIBA is also calling for creative, inspiring schools, the development of smarter greener buildings, and measures to ensure the fostering of flood proof communities.
Commenting Greg Mulholland said:
“I am very pleased to support the Royal Institute of British Architects’ campaign.
“More consideration needs to be given to the buildings and communities we develop. We need more homes, but we also need to ensure that we are building the right homes in the right place.
“I am also very pleased that this campaign is focusing on providing a good-quality built environment to accommodate our ageing population and encourage a healthier population.”
