PARTY AT PEOPLE’s PARK

by Steve Beasant on 26 May, 2011

On Tuesday 31 May, the Pre-school Learning Alliance will be celebrating their 50th anniversary with a party at People’s Park. Running between 12.30 and 2.30pm, the party is open to all families with children under the age of five.

On the day there will be a picnic, craft and physical games and a big group dance. The festivities will end with the burial of a time capsule containing memorabilia about the PLA and the activities they currently host.

The Alliance has been providing community play activities to families in the North East Lincolnshire area for the last three years. Working alongside all 14 of the council’s children’s centres, the Alliance regularly host activities for families with children under the age of five. These are as varied as stay and play sessions, boogie bodies, which explores movement and dancing and musical mayhem sessions, which help toddlers to learn about sounds and music.

For more information about activities for babies and toddlers contact your local children’s centre. To fins out which centre is closest to you, contact the Family Information Service on: 0800 18 303 17
