North East Lincolnshire’s first multi-cultural mela festival will be held on Sunday 3 June 2012 in People’s Park, Grimsby.
From 11am to 4pm, enjoy the vibrant and varied entertainment, sample different cuisine and watch cooking demonstrations.
Look around a variety of stalls and take part in workshops – from Bollywood dancing to wearing of Sari plus there’s children’s entertainment and play areas provided.
The celebratory event – organised by Communities Together – features high profile performers from Indian Elvis, the Sikh Martial Arts Display (Gatka) and the Scottish Pipe band.
Mela celebrations take place all over the world but in North East Lincs we’re making it multi-cultural.
