WITNESSES are sought to a serious injury road traffic injury that happened at the junction of Scartho Road and Sutcliffe Avenue in Grimsby at 1205hrs on Friday 21 June.
The collision involved a 76-year-old Grimsby man and a blue coloured Volvo S40 in blue, driven by a 66-year-old man from Grimsby.
The Volvo was travelling north along Scartho Road approaching the traffic light junction at Sutcliffe Avenue when the collision occurred with the pedestrian.
The injured man was taken to Grimsby’s Diana Princess of Wales Hospital with chest injuries and a fracture to the wrist, described as non life threatening. He was detained in hospital and his condition was last described as critical but stable.
Anyone who saw either the vehicle or the pedestrian prior to the collision or witnessed the collision itself is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 referring to log 268 of 21 June 2013.
