A number of temporary road closures will be in place along the route of the Cleethorpes Community Carnival Parade on Saturday 20 July.

Thousands of people are expected to celebrate the carnival as it winds its way along a four-and-a-half mile route from Sidney Park to the Meridian Park Arena.

Floats are due to leave Sidney Park at 3.30pm and take about two hours to reach their destination.

Affected roads will be reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.

The following roads will be affected by the temporary closure between 3.30pm and 7.30pm:

• Brereton Avenue from its junction with Tiverton Street to its junction with Lestrange Street
• Ward Street from the Sidney Park Access to its junction with Grimsby Road
• Grimsby Road from its junction with Park Street to its junction with Clee Road
• Isaac’s Hill from its junction with Grimsby Road to its junction with High Street
• High Street from its junction with Isaac’s Hill to its junction with Alexandra Road
• Alexandra Road from its junction with High Street to its junction with Sea Road
• Sea Road from its junction with Alexandra Road to its junction with Central Promenade
• Central Promenade from its junction with Sea Road to its junction with High Cliff Road
• High Cliff Road from its junction with Central Promenade to its junction with Kingsway
• Kingsway from its junction with High Cliff Road to its junction with Kings Road
• Kings Road from its junction with Kingsway to its junction with North Sea Lane.
