Residents in Willing Way reminded to be vigilant to bogus callers following incident

POLICE are reminding residents to be vigilant to bogus callers following an incident reported in Willing Way in Grimsby on 23 September 2014.

An elderly woman reported allowing access to her home to a male caller asking to use her toilet at around 2000hrs on Tuesday 23 September.

The woman was returning to her address and encountered the man on the approach to her door.

A short while after the man left the address on Willing Way, Grimsby the woman noticed that an amount of money was missing from her purse.

The man can only be described by the victim as being white.

Police are appealing for information in connection with this incident and urging residents to exercise caution when allowing callers into their home.
