Humberside Police are appealing for information in connection with an incident on the footbridge on Railway Street in Grimsby on Monday 23 March 2015.

A woman who went to assist a man she believed was being assaulted by another man on the bridge at around 2045hrs on Monday 23 March 2015 was herself assaulted as she intervened.

The man reported as being responsible for the assault on both victims is described as being in his late teens /early 20s, 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and with a pale, gaunt face with a pointed nose. He was also said to be using crutches which were used to strike the victims during the alleged assaults.

The woman did not have any visible injuries and the identity of the first victim remains unknown.
