CCTV appeal following robbery at Wellington Street Stores, Grimsby

Humberside Police have released CCTV of people they would like to speak to in connection with a robbery at Wellington Street Stores, Wellington Street, Grimsby at around 1840hrs on Sunday 29 March 2015.

Four unknown men who had their faces covered with scarves entered the store and one of the men approached a member of staff (a 28-year-old man) and allegedly pushed him to the floor. He then demanded the money from the tills be placed in a black Adidas rucksack and was allegedly holding a knife.

Fearing for his safety, money which was in Nisa carrier bags was put in the rucksack by a second member of staff (a 27-year-old woman) and handed over to the main offender. The four men then left the shop together. No one was injured in the incident, but a large about of money in notes and coins were stolen in the incident.

Police have release three CCTV stills following the incident and are urging the people featured to contact the police or anyone who can identify them to contact the police.

The main offender is described as white, aged between 25 and 30 years old and between 6ft and 6ft 2ins tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a black coloured North Point jacket with a pulled up hood, a dark scarf covering his face, dark Adidas track suit bottoms and gloves.

The other men with the main offender were all wearing dark clothing with their faces concealed by scarves.

The men or anyone who can help identify them or who saw them before/after the incident are urged to call Humberside Police on 101 quoting crime reference number 2105087 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
