October Half Term Activities in North East Lincolnshire

by Steve Beasant on 6 October, 2015

Children in North East Lincolnshire are guaranteed to have a spooky and fun-packed October half term with a host of sports, leisure and cultural activities conjured up by Lincs Inspire.

There’s action to be had with multi-sports activities at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre, multi-sports, dodgeball and street dance at Signhills School, as well as football at Oasis Academy Immingham. Whilst Bradley Football Development Centre will play host to a five day football course.

The diving boards at Grimsby Swimming Pool will be open during the week for those looking to make a splash and the Junior Interactive Gym at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre will also have extended opening hours.

Children can get into the Halloween spirit at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre on Saturday, October 31 where there will be Halloween themed arts and craft sessions during the day and a spooky Halloween roller disco in the evening.

Those who feel like getting creative have the opportunity to be like Dr. Frankenstein and make a hybrid creature or machine out of different parts of other toys at the ‘Frankentoys’ sessions at a number of Lincs Inspire Libraries throughout the week.

Grimsby Central Library will play host to Winnie the Witches Halloween Adventure where children aged 7 and under can listen to stories and enjoy some Halloween themed activities.

There will also be Zom-B Madness Chatterbooks for children aged eight and above including a zombie make-up tutorial, zombie themed book discussions and creepy crafts!

For more information pick up a booklet from a Lincs Inspire leisure centre or library or visit: www.lincsinspire.com.
