ORGANISERS say the third Armed Forces Day celebrations in Cleethorpes will be the biggest and best yet.
Attractions heading to the resort on Saturday, June 25, will include a dazzling display by the Blades Aerobatic Team, a flypast by the Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and a parade of former and existing armed forces personnel.
The Parade for ex serving and serving members of HM Armed Forces will form up at 13.30 at St Peter’s Primary School and March off at 14.00 followed by a short service at the Strike Wing Memorial next to Ross Castle.
The parade and service will be followed by a full display by the fantastic Blades Aerobatic Team.
Highlight of the day for many will be the flypast by the Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
The RAF Association Mobile Events Trailer will be in attendance and also a Flight Simulator. Re-enactment groups are invited to come and join in the day and there will be plenty of space available in the seafront gardens for them to set up their displays etc.
Come along and show your support…. Saturday, 25th June 2011 – Flying displays start at 3pm.
