Willow growing and basket making were two of the traditional crafts that underpinned the growth of farming and fishing industries in our area.
On Friday, 30 August, local author and historian, Rodney Cousins, will give a talk about the traditional crafts associated with Grimsby and its rural surroundings.
The talk will take place at Grimsby Central library, from 1pm to 3pm. This is a free event, but as places are limited, please book yours by calling (01472) 323628, or email [email protected] or [email protected].
The Village Voices season is a series of projects aimed at getting more people involved in exploring the local history, customs and traditions that are important to them. The season has been made possible through a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
