Motorcyclist sustained a broken femur after coming off his bike
At around 1729hrs on Friday 23 May, a motorcyclist is reported to have been travelling along Ladysmith Road in the direction of Pasture Street. As the motocycle came to head past Buller Street, it is reported to have approached a bend. The motorcyclist then came off the bike.
As the motoryclist slid along the road, the motorbike did the same, on the opposite side of the road. This caused the bike to collide with a red coloured Ford Focus. The car was travelling in the opposite direction.
Prior to police attendance, two men attended the scene of the collision and took away the motorcycle and the helmet.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 20 year old man, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary and treated for a broken femur. He remains in hospital at this time receiving treatment.
The driver of the Ford Focus attended Diana Princess of Wales Hospital as a precautionary measure.
Police have spoken to a number of people in relation to the collision. However, more witnesses are sought.
If you saw what happened and can help police with the investigation please call Humberside Police tel 101 quoting LOG 533 of 23 May 2014.
