POLICE investigating the serious assault of a man on Saturday 2 August 2014 on Rutland Street in Grimsby have now charged a 27 year old man in connection with the incident.
Nathan Matthew NEWLAND (27) of Midfield Road, Humberston is charged with a section 20 assault and possession of a controlled drug.
He will appear at Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates Court this morning, Tuesday 5 August 2014.
A 46 year old man injured in the incident remains in hospital in Grimsby in a serious condition.
