Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Orchard Drive, Grimsby between 1845hrs and 1900hrs on Sunday 18 August 2014.

A 42-year-old man was in the street when a man allegedly punched him several times with a sharp item before leaving the area in the direction of Wellington Street.

The victim has sustained superficial wounds and has received treatment at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital.

The suspect is described as a white man around 5ft 9ins tall with a slim build wearing dark coloured hooded top.

House to house enquiries have been completed and police are trying to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
