Technology explained with no jargon and a nice cup of tea – how refreshing.

Grimsby central library is hosting a Techy Tea Party on Thursday (September 11) from 9am to 12 noon, for anyone who wants a bit of help with their technological challenges.

Tech-Knows will be on hand with advice about anything from how a tablet works to help with shopping online.

Guests are invited to bring along the kit they want to learn more about and the Tech-Knows will demonstrate on their devices what technology can do.

Topics could include:

• Social media – creating a FaceBook or Twitter profile.
• Apps – How to download and use them.
• Skype – What it is and how to use it.
• Emailing – How to attach documents or how to email from a phone.
• Texting – How to write and send texts.

The event is part of EE National Techy Tea Party Day, in partnership with Age UK, and everyone is invited.
