North East Lincolnshire Council, working in Partnership with Cofely, is improving the pelican crossing outside the Ramsdens Home Interiors store in Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby, later this month.
The improvements are part of the Council’s highway maintenance programme and the works also include resurfacing and new road markings along Cleethorpe Road between Humber Street and Park Street.
Work starts on Monday 19 January 2015 and will take about four weeks to complete. Lane closures will be in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm to reduce disruption to the travelling public and provide a safe working environment for the contractors.
Overnight road closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am whilst the road is resurfaced and the road markings are repainted.
Advanced warning signs will be put up and local diversion routes put in place for the night time closures.
