Liberal Democrat Brexit Spokesperson Tom Brake MP has accused Jeremy Corbyn of living in a world of “alternative facts” as the Labour leader is set to claim in a speech there has already been an economic benefit of Brexit.

Mr Brake said: 

“Corbyn is completely absent as an Opposition Leader and is laying the path for the Tories’ chaotic Brexit.

“Experts have warned that Brexit is likely to weaken public finances, leaving jobs and public services under threat. Corbyn is living in a world of ‘alternative facts’ where Brexit will be a bonanza for British business.

“The best way to stand up for the many and avoid this Brexit mess is by giving the people a final say on the deal, and an opportunity to Exit from Brexit.”
